Villa Montalvo meetup in Saratoga CA 5/15

EDITED TO ADD: Yes it will be raining, yes this is still happening. Bring a parasol & comfy shoes because if it's not raining too hard we might still do the outdoor portion of the tour.

What: Picnic, pictures, garden tour
Price: Parking & entry is free, picnic is potluck style, guided tour is $10





I just wanted to remind everyone that the Villa Montalvo tour & picnic is this Sunday and that if you are going to attend the tour part of the meetup you must call the Villa Montalvo Box Office at 408.961.5858 to reserve your tour spot/buy your ticket by 4pm friday, if you haven't already. There were 10 spots left last I heard. You can NOT buy tour tickets the day of the event.

Time line:
10:45am: Arrive in front of the box office will-call/small art museum area (park in lot 3).
11:00am-1:00pm: Tour
1:00pm-whenever we're done: start with a picnic on the large lawn in front of the mansion and then possibly backtrack to favorite spots from the tour for pictures or explore other areas of the grounds the tour might have skipped.

When you RSVP here please let me know:
1) If you're bringing anyone with you
2) What you plan on bringing to the potluck picnic if you already know. That way we don't have everyone bringing the same thing, no worries if you're not sure what you'll be yet.

*If you know that you are not interested in the tour, you are more than welcome to join up with us starting at 1pm for the picnic. Just keep in mind that means you might miss out on seeing certain areas of the grounds.
*I'd recommend leaving picnic stuff like blankets, baskets and coolers in our cars until after the tour so that no one is lugging around more stuff than they need to.
*Please understand that tours are led by volunteers and only happen once a month. It's important that everyone arrives on time and calls to make a reservation ASAP since spots on the tour are limited.
*I know this is a bit out of the way for many of us- carpool. If anyone near me (I'm in Santa Clara) needs a ride I've got 3 empty spots in my car. SF girls- make friends, share gas monies, make it work ;)
