Negative review of Lief
Mar. 3rd, 2011 02:33 pmI saw an ad for Lief's Regimental Stripes series on EGL and decided to order a skirt. I paid for it on December 1st and received it a few days after Christmas. When I received it, the button wasn't sewn on properly (fell right off the minute I tried it on) the top-stitching was wonky on the waistband, there were numerous loose threads, and to top it all off the print was backwards.
I contacted
klanaide and I asked if instead of a refund, could
tikim3 give me credit towards a sacred night JSK from Lief's new series.
tikim3 agreed, but I had to pay to ship the skirt back out of my own pocket.
klanaide told me I could ship it to her in Canada to save on shipping, so I did. I've been waiting for an invoice from
tikim3 to pay the remaining balance for the JSK ($70) since January 23rd, which is when
klanaide received the damaged skirt. I was told it would only take her a few days. After a couple weeks, I saw a bunch of reviews from people who had already received their JSKs so I contacted
klanaide again to see what was going on since I still didn't have an invoice. She said, "She forgot to send all the invoices out and there were some people who got left out (people who confirmed their order late) -- they are still waiting for invoices. :(" That was on February 2nd.
I waited another 3 weeks and when I still hadn't gotten an invoice, I finally got fed up and told
klanaide to tell
tikim3 that I wanted a refund. I told her if I didn't get a refund within a week, I would post a negative review of her business on EGL and leave her negative feedback. It's been one week today so that is exactly what I'm doing. At this point, I wonder if I will even get a refund. I completely regret dealing with Lief, though
klanaide was wonderful throughout the entire experience. I don't even know if I'll get my $165 back at this point (or the money I paid to ship the skirt back for that matter) and it's way too late for a paypal dispute. I hope that other people will take my experience into account before dealing with
tikim3 or ordering from Lief. If anyone has any advice on what I can do to get my money back, please let me know.
I've spent the last few hours on the phone with various people (mastercard customer service, paypal customer service, and my bank - three times). There is officially nothing I can do to get my money back.
