An interesting comparison of egl styles...

If I'm not mistaken, theda_bara (in black) got every bit of her outfit (from shoes to wig) from Japan. calistrisa (in pink) got the dress from Japan, bought the wig, tights, & shoes locally, & added the laces to the shoes & made the headpiece herself. Me (in green)... well, I paid about $1.50 for an old girl's dress at a thrift store (which I easily converted into the skirt) then made the top & arm-warmers out of scraps of fabric from the dress, a $.05 t-shirt, less than $1 worth of embroidery floss, & a $2.99 iron-on patch (in the middle of the cross). Everything else was bought at a thrift store previously (and I need to invest in white shoes, obviously ;P ).

I am so short...no fair!!
But I have always admired the imagination with which Miss Zoloft puts her outfits together, I have zero to no creative talent, or the ability to sew.
But either way, I think everyone looked amazing!

I'm really not that creative. I mean, yes, I'm pretty good at Sticking Things to Other Things, but I can't think of a complete outfit from scratch & then create it from nothing... I have to have some stuff that I can stare at for awhile & then tinker with until it all goes together, somehow. :}

And I sure as fuck can't sew. Most of my outfits are cobbled together w/ safety pins & awkward hand stitching. The ones that are actually sewn are sewn by calistrisa (or, if they're old enough, my mom :D ).

Aaaah! I voe them all, but the black and white ones still remains my favorite. PLUS, short girls are the cutest of them all! heheeh, I love tehm so ^^ Adn the bangs! The BANGS!! I love it XD

AFAIK, Metamorphose (http://www.metamorphose.gr.jp/english/top.htm) is the only Japanese egl shop that will ship to the US (and that's a very recent development). You can get practically anything sent to you via a shopping service, though (you tell them what you want, & they buy it & ship it to you for a fee). I don't know any off the top of my head, but I'm sure Theda, Cali, or someone else in this comm could tell you if you asked very nicely (and have several hundred dollars you're itching to drop on pretty clothes). :}
