did anyone else find Metamorphose to be ludicrisly expensive after doing a currency conversion???

acording to yahoo's currency conversion, 100yen is about $1.28 Australia, so with the prices they have listed it's about $34 AU for a freakin hair elastic!!! or around $15-$16 USD!!!!

Is it just me or is this increadibly overpriced for what is essentially a bit of ribbon on a circle of elastic??????????

and over $115 US for a ikkle bitty bag? They have got to be joking!

someone tell me my currency converter is wrong PLEASE!

In japan, everything is alot more than in other countries. Then again, they also make more money so it's no big deal to them. If you've ever seen Mana's store(Moi~meme~moitie), it's the same way. The most resonably priced item was an umbrella for 3000Y, which is about $25. Reasonable concidering it's a famous name brand. I'm surprised people didn't expect it to be so big...

Nope, nothin wrong with your convertor, I flipped out too. Like everyone else said, stuff costs more in japan, so it's no big deal to them. But we Americans are cheap XD

Yeah, that's right. I do custom orders (including copies of stuff from Metamorphose or other places) for a lower cost though.

I'm working on learning HTML, so hopefully I will be able to have said website soon. I've also got someone helping me make a layout, so it's on the way. Right now, I've just been taking orders through e-mail and such, which is elvenwarriorqueen@yahoo.com.

You know, I am an expert at Dreamweaver and graphics. I've been doing web design for three years. If you'd like any help, I'd be glad to help you create on in my spare time, free of charge. :) I hope to one day have my own clothing site up, so I'd think of it as practice. :)

yep...i flipped out when isaw that a simple dress...what was just decked out with a lot of lace...was $186!!! i loved the dress, but there's no way i'd pay that! i'd rather buy a vintge dress pattern and put all the lace on myself for way cheaper.

Funny everyone seems so upset by the prices on Japanese Lolita clothes. I'm happy to spend big bucks to get what I want when it comes to that, especially for clothing. Ofcourse, I'm from NYC....(no I'm not rich) and am used to putting out a few extra $$ for excellent quality couture clothing. I think Metamorphose is pretty average priced for that industry. My only complaint is that incredible bunny skirt only comes in white (no good for city living).

The nice thing is, now that they hip to the US it is only a matter of time before things pop up on Ebay.

BTW, the women at Metamorphose are real sweeties should youwant to ask them questions. They emailed me back and even visited my website. cool.

if i were rich i'd buy about 1/2 the items in the store.
but i'm not. so therefore i'll have to settle for reproductions and what i can make myself.
plus the thrift ingrained deeply in my by my family would not permit me to spend so much on clothing.

I know, I know... I sucks that all their stuff is over AU$200-300... I don't even like much of what they have up right now, except for that "Rabbi-chan" skirt, but they're not even selling the matching nurse-top that goes with it! And it annoys me so much that they all come in a 24" waist... I mean, would it hurt them to put elastic in? I'm only an Australian size 10-12, but I would have to wear my corset to fit into that>_<;;
