I've been noticing lots of brands have been releasing both sailor-themed items and straw hats for the spring and summer. I think sailor lolita is really cute and have missed seeing it around. What do you all think about it? Are these really trends or do the brands always release sailor stuff and straw hats around this time?



I think Meta released the first bunch of sailor dresses. They've been doing sailor lolita forever and they have something almost every year. Gotta love that jumpsuit <3

Around the same time, AP released their Frill Marine OP. Isn't it funny how sailor stuff can also look really "July 4th/American patriotic" XD Note the use of straw mini-hat for their next release (Milky Berry)





Then VM came out with some sailor stuff too. Some things are re-releases I think.



There's a few different dresses, two skirts, a blouse and a hat.



And recently IW has some sailor-y themed items like an OP, cutsew and also a straw hat.





Also when I went to the BABY store in Osaka recently they had a low waisted sailor dress in the AATP section that I don't recall ever seeing on the website and I can't find it on the site now so it could be new or really old XD

If anyone knows more brands with sailor stuff and/or straw hats this season, please share! Are any of you thinking of getting one of these?
