Layout Change and Contest Update

My apologies in the delay of changing out the layout this month- Dragon*Con snuck up on me and I just didn't have the time to edit it! So, a few days late but here it is...

Now, onto this month's contest...
missmeganmaude opened a poll asking the community what we should do in regards to keeping the mascot Sophie as the subject of artwork for EGL's banner. Majority of users opted to vote that we get rid of Sophie, and either have the banner art feature a lolita of any type, or anything that is related to lolita. Since the two options were so close (205 and 200 votes), I think we should try going with either/or~


All members are welcomed and encouraged to submit their artwork to be featured in the header image for a month.

- Your submitted work must feature either a lolita, or be strongly lolita related.
- You may enter two entries per month.
- You do not have to create new work for the contest, though it would certainly be appreciated!
- Any style is welcome- anime, realistic, 3D, collage, etc.
- Entries should be sent on either a blank background (.psd file) or on a white background.
- There is no size requirement, but your submission should be at least 285px tall. I will usually resize and crop the image down to a portrait, so please keep that in mind.


So, how does the theme work into all this?
From the winning artwork, we will draw either one or two themes for EGL for the next month~
This month's Sophie carries a parasol, and is overall rather purple, so we chose those as our themes for this month!
So keep that in mind if you want to try your hand at the contest! If you want, include your suggested theme ideas in your entry to me.

To submit your artwork for the contest, you will need to have your entry in to me before 12:00 AM September 28th (EST). On the 28th I will start the poll/contest, and it will run until the 30th. Whichever art has the most votes will be featured in the new banner!

As for the Sales Community, I will continue to receive artwork for it, however there will not be a contest every month- we'll simply rotate art out however often we receive shopping-themed art specifically for that community.
