If anyone is interested I just want to offer my services in custom dressmaking, as those beautiful dresses from Japan are not readily available here. I spent years studying and going to school for pattern drafting and custom sizing so I can closely reproduce almost anything and not charge and arm and a leg for it to ;) I know that's the only way I have been able to acquire some of the fabulous lolita fashions I have seen in the books. While I would never copy a design that was not mine and sell it to the public in mass on my website I will do a copy for one client's personal use. Just an offer if anyone wants to take me up on it.

It depends on the dress and the materials it is made out of. Do you have any specific ones in mind you can email me pics of?

That one appears to be satin with vertical and horizontal white satin ruffles and a double layered v neck ruffle. It appears to be floor length as well. I would really like to see a pic of Mana standing in that gown to get a better idea, but even from that pic I could do a rough recreation. That one is going to take an assload of material. It would probably run about $200.00 or so. Which I am sure is still loads cheaper than it would be in Japan. Let me know if you are interested in working with me on it. It could also be done in something like cotton for a bit less money about $150.00 or so.

It makes absoulutely no diff if you are a guy or not. I can fit anyone and have fit dresses to many boys before. =)

I could do something similar in cotton for about $165.00 or in velvet for about $225.00

The one above is a netting skirt and a velvet top with a black petticoat under the skirt. You could get the black petticoat yourself on ebay (just search for petticoat or crinoline) way cheaper than I could make it.
I already make the short netting skirt in my catalog so that would be no problem. The velvet top, do you have any better pics of the details of that, all I can see cleary if the bottom sleeve flounces but nothing about the collar detail.

Pretty. I can't tell if the ruffle is from a seperate skirt underneath or if it is sewn to the jumper, if it is a can't see a seam. Anways I could do the jumper for $85.00 and an underskirt with attached ruffle for $65.

Or if you wanted the ruffle just attached to the jumper it would be $100.00 but there would be a visable seam then.

or just the jumper no ruffle bottom for $85.00

these are all qoutes for light-mid weight cotton material.

What color would you want? I am pretty sure i can find somewhat similar material.

Thanks. ^^ Your prices are great. The ruffle is attached to the skirt. Check my recent post on /egl about a similar skirt. It uses a blind hem stitch.

I was thinking going with a pink (because my hair would clash with everything else). I'll have to get back to you, though; I still haven't decided.
