Just curious, do all lolita's turn aristocrat when it's winter? It get so cold out, how else would you keep warm? Questions, comments, suggestions? :3

For winter I wear more layers and thicker fabrics. Nice thick stockings work well in keeping your legs warm, combined with a pair of nice bloomers and a velvet skirt/dress. Oooh *dreamy dreamy* Also, boots are better to wear in winter rather than maryjanes since they cover more of your legs. Nice n toasty

I dunno, I always wear long skirts myself because I have such ugly legs ^^* It might depend on where you live, also. Here in Minnesota, it's just too chilly to wear anything above the knee anyway (although I never do in the first place, even in summer, unless it's in the privacy of my own home). Thick tights always help, though :) Yesterday I wore a long fruffly skirt and some thick red tights and I was very comfortable.

It's in Minneapolis and you'd be WAY more likely to be allowed to be a loli here :) Email me if you ever get bored!

Oooh, coolies :) Yeah, I'm kinda in the middle of hicksville here ~_~;; I hate it... If I dress lolish, I do an extremely conservative egl look because my mom won't allow anything more extreme. But eh, I try =P lol, sure ^_^

You don't have to wear long skirts because of your legs! I have scars on my legs, but EGL style hardly show any skin so I can get away with it. Just wear knee socks (or even tights) and the only part of your legs that will show (if any) is your knees! ^__^

It's not just the skin on my legs, it's the shape... They're just plain ugly, and I don't like them nor do I feel comfortable showing them off ^^*

iii think that the lolita style is still there. maybe a long skirt with ruffles at the bottom, or a layer of ribbon died about 6-12 inches above the hem :x you know ;D and then, cute platforms.. maybe white pink or black o.o the shirt, well a cute poofy sleeved one withcuffs and a cute blouse, other than black, it seems still prett loli. :3;

of course!!see those little coats with white fruffy fur? and cute little rabbity hoods and tail-bobs?

http://hearte.cool.ne.jp/483003.html

if that be ega..then O.o...i'd be very surprised...

and of course there are the other coats that have the same fruffy fur, but in the fron have the two little tail bob things up the front... [i think it was last season's metamorphose]

^^accompanies with little fruffy muffs@!!

But yes lolitas do not have to turn aristocrat in winter- some do, some dont... who knows?

EGL's don't have to turn into anything for the winter! ^__^ It's funny because I hear the question "What the heck do EGL's wear in the summer?" just as much as I hear your question. In the summer we wear jumpers, skirts, lower socks if we like & short sleeve blouses. In the winter, we have very warm coats (often they are faux fur trimmed), capelets, mittens, scarves, hats, hand muffs if you don't like mittens. Aside from outerwear, in general we just wear blouses with long sleeves, skirts with the usual petticoat and bloomers underneath keep that part warm and thick knee high socks to keep the rest of the legs warm. Heck, if you have a favorite jumper, you could still wear it because it is so versatile, just wear a long sleeve blouse underneath. Also cute sweaters keep the chill off indoors. There are so many options for any season, try looking though the G&L Bibles since they go by season and you'll see what I mean. ^__^
