Hey again gals!
Was at Borders last night and saw on an end cap a relatively new manga called "Under the Glass Moon." It looks to be by a Korean artist named Ko Ya-Seong, and I was quite pleased with it!
Takes place in modern-esque day Europe in a nondescript small town. Madame Batolli and her daughter Nell are witches who live next door to the very yummy Dark Wizard Luka and his equally androgynous alchemist brother Luel. The artist, you can tell, is heavily influenced by EGL and Visual (JRock) fashions. Madame Batolli has a particular fixation for Mana (though it's never said, it's most definitely implied by her clothing!), and the Reinhardt brothers (especially Luka) looks like he walked out of a Dir~en~Grey video!
The first volume introduces the 4 main characters and establishes the romance between everyone (or lack there of). Very humorous with dark undertones, they also introduce characters and people modern-day Pagan's would be familiar with (Aleister Crowley). Also, Faun, a loverly boy/girl is brought in towards the middle, as well as the young Neo, a Spirit Master who wants to be Luka's apprentice (and looks like he may have a crush on Master Luka!).
The second volume continues a story arch where the first one left off, and a good chunk of the plot is tossed at you. You see for the first real time, Neo's spirit guardians, which are the cutest things imaginable.
At first, I thought this would focus more on Nell, who is unbelievably annoying and not all that cute, but am pleased to see it is more of a story of Luka and Neo, with everyone else getting equally important roles (except for Nell, because, IMHO, she is a twat!).
So I hope everyone gets a chance to check this out. Definitely a good read, and if nothing else, there are many loverly pictures to oogle over!

Incredibly yum yum Luka

Leila, a minor character in the 2nd book that undergoes this beautiful transformation.

Neo's Spirits... aren't they cute?! They remind me of the Clow Cards from Card Captor Sakura.

Madame Batolli, in all of her Mana-esque glory! :D
