this is my first post in egl, so hurrah. but yes, i really want to dress up as american mcgee's alice for halloween. she is the most loveliest thing, don't you think? anyway, does anyone have any ideas on how i would go about doing this? i have the perfect boots and such, but i really need ideas on how to obtain or make a dress similar to alice's. any comments would be appreciated. xoxo.

I'm actually dressing up as American McGee's Alice myself. She's so awesome! The way I'm doing it, I basically drew out the dress and the pattern pieces I would need to make it, took measurements, etc., applied measurements, and cut them all out from scratch. After that, it's just sewing it together, which is where I am now. You can get plain fabric anywhere, so the materials are easy to find. If you're not that experienced with sewing, you might want to try looking for similar patterns you could use or check thrift stores for dresses or aprons you could alter.
