Ugh, so I basically modelled my new LimeBarb outfit for my boyfriend tonight and I realized what a strange job they really did. The skirt's circumference would be fine except for these two trangular pieces of fabric they added at each side. This makes the skirt too big and it folds over, there is so much extra fabric in the circumference of the skirt. The front of the dress billows over my breasts providing that balloon look. The back of the dress, when pulled together by a bow, puckers out. This isn't a post to complain about LimeBarb, it's a post to ask about methods of tailoring this dress. I was thinking of removing the two pieces of triangular fabric added to the circle of the skirt (why this was inserted is no idea to me) and perhaps darting the dress under my breasts. I can't post pictures because I don't have a domain to host them with. My boyfriend told me how good I looked and how he thought the dress was meant to be that way and I could only reply with frustration. We'll see what I can do. Oh, I just wanted to complain, thanks for hearing me out.

Oh no this is helpful o-o I was wondering about that dress myself. I know exactly what you mean about billowing too much.. I mean.. floof is good, but not too much floof that it just folds into itsself! ^^;; I think those are wise ideas, and wish you the best of luck ._. Im sorry you have to do that! T.T

If you have been looking for a place to host your pictures, so you can show us exactly what is wrong or if you just have other pictures to post try Village Photos (http://www.villagephotos.com/index.asp). It is a sweet hot linking photo website. It is how I hotlink my photos to my journal!

or Snapfish (http://www.snapfish.com). but yeah, that really sucks! maybe they added the triangle pieces to compensate for a floofy petticoat?? ^^;

Oh no, that's terrible!
You could mostly likely just remove the triangular pieces and sew the sides back without them. The top part is a bit more tricky without being able to actually see a picture. Darts could work, but it depends on how it's put together. What is the style of the dress like?

I'd complain, with specific details. You paid too much for that dress to have it come with that much work to do on it. if they're a legitimate business they'll refund you or fix it. ...Or they *should*, at least.
