EGL art...

I've been watching all the pretty art that people have posted, so I thought I'd post some of my own. I'm not really good at drawing clothing, but I do have some art I'm pretty satisfied with.

An original character of mine, dressed in a EGL inspired outfit. It's not quite EGL, I suppose, but I still like it.

This is actually Harry Potter fanart, but one of the characters are wearing a EGL outfit that I made up, and now I want to make it...

Constructive criticism is welcomed...

Ooooo art! I can't shut up when I see art! read or ignore; I wish I had some of mine to scan and share.

Simplistic style of drawing, but some nice value shift going on. Shading is subtle in areas, nice touch, love the colors. Adored the second picture (heh heh heh).. the first one shot my eyebrow up (hmm, oh no, she's got an opinion), but still loved the color scheme on that as well. My main issue with the first picture is the bent arm. For an arm to bend that way you don't need to include the line you did at the joint.. This is the back of the arm we're looking at yes? The little line indentation makes it seem like the inside, and a little off. You may consider a more subtle hint through shading. Nothing fatal, however. Veerrryyy nice lolita theme.

I like all the outfits so uhm...... *grins big and stupid here.*

There's my 26 cents and a lily for you.

I *really* like the effect on the wings in the first drawing! Very cool! ^_^ But like dulcemaria said, the arm is strange. I think the line at the elbow is OK, but the hand twisting to the back puts the arm at an awkward angle... the position's *possible*, but not natural. If you try to hold your hand like that you'll see what I mean. So as a future note, I'd suggest that when you're thinking of poses to draw, use your own body to test how natural they are.

I keep meaning to do some more drawings... the last one I did is the one in my icon, back in January... >___<;;;;
