I have to agree about the price... T.T I like that dress, but I kind of wish it had something on the front? Like cute rose buttons and some lace going down from neck to waist? o.o I like a lot of the stuff they offer (sans the satin..>_>) but the price always turns me away. (are these prices a reflection of fabric choice? Call me ignorant... but do the faux leather decorations have to be faux leather? I'm sure that raises the price.. o.o)

Total agreement about the front! It looks oddly empty without some kind of frontal decoration.

Its probably because the average rate for an experienced seamstress is $10-$15 an hour, and I could easily see that dress taking 6 to 8 hours to make.

it looks well-made but it's just so... boring. It would be nice if they jazzed it up a bit and made it more EGL. The price isn't too bad considering the time involved, but I wouldn't pay that much, personally, unless it was more decorated. I do kind of like their "kawaii dress", though; and that's a fairly decent price for it.

and for some ODD reasoan she keeps emphasizing the back of the dress instead of the front. like the moppet dress, the back was nice but when she finally showed the front i was just a teeny tiny bit disappointed. my first reaction was: @_@; "is that all??"

her site's easier to navigate now than before. and it's soo wierd. her layout looks like, uh...minimalist retro?? but yes, it is kewl. ^_^

I think the sleeves and skirt are okay (apart from the cheap lace), but the neck-line is once again ugly as sin, and it really does need something to make the front look more important. The price is... a bit over the top. It's say $75 would be a bit more like it, seeing as it is hand-made after all.

i think it's the criss-cross ribbon that ties in the back of the neck. that would look uber cute with the square neckline.

My skirt from Rose and thorn arrived in the post this morning I bought it off Ebay. Before it arrive I was a little concerned about what the quality would be like. I'm seriously impressed its lovely. the fabric is really good quality

Yes it was worth it I only paid 50 USD for it but i think it would still have been had i paid more.
