egl_archiveAnyone on here ever heard of Switchblade Symphony? They're an older goth band I used to listen to a bit as a teenager, but they've always dressed kind of EGLy. So I thought I'd enetertain you with some pics of them:

At least, I can't imagine more than one person found JOL-patterned lace to trim that exact-patterned dress made from that exact fabric...
I must go ask Lady B (the fabulous seamstress who made my dress) about this!

Actually, the more i think about this, the more it pisses me off. That photo used to be on my homepage, when i had a vanity site, and i made that entire outfit, which was among the 6 i showed at the C2 fashion show, and is the only one of its kind.
The idea that someone's out there trying to pass it off as an SS concert shot (which, they did play C2, but clearly they aren't onstage there, because that's from the very end of my portion of the fashion show) really pisses me off. Not that there's anything I can do about it.
So, um, yeah. That's my dress, & it's not SS. ;}

Date: 2003-08-21 09:15 pm (UTC)I used to *love* switchblade symphony -- especially their song 'gutter glitter' and I actually dressed up like a 'gothic ragdolly' using a picture from their website as a model several years ago. It's my one instance of dressing EGL before ever hearing of it, but I haven't listened to SS in years... it's so funny to find it coming back here.
