A little question...

Have anyone ever seen any EGL outfit in purple? Or is that just not done? If anyone has seen one, and has lnks or pictures, please tell me. I'm very fond of the purple and black combination, and I wanted to know if there was anything already made in these colors...

I've seen lavender many times but not many purple outfits. It'd look great (reference Chobits cover art) so I can't wait to see what you have planned!

My favorite combos are white/black, black/pink, black/blue and black/purple.
I haven't done any outfits in the alst to colorschemes yet, but I will. :)

I've seen one, but unfortunately I do not have the resources to be showing you. Mostly the outfits are lavender. I can't say for certain since I haven't been surfing around a lot lately, but this slice of the fashion seems to avoid purples as the main color, mostly focusing on accents with it or using its lighter counterparts. It might be too overpowering (or perhaps most people don't look well in purple?), or it may be the fact that purple/white combinations are a little jarring to look at. The purple and black combination, however, has two thumbs up from this corner and I do think there should be more of them. Another belated thought is that many purples and black have the same color balance so creating a contrast with them might not be up to designers/makers' standards and are simply left on the back burner.

I love the purple and black combination, as anyone who has ever looked inside my wardrobe can tell you. Anything that isn't either black or purple is dark red. I'm going to make a dress in two different tones of purple and with black lace.

I think a violet and black combination is more western looking, but I usually see it purple-on-black... a purple dress with black trim would be *awesome*

It's going to be purple with a black trim. I've envisioned it in some sort of brocade fabric, too. I love brocades...

I've done it before. (http://cagedflame.net/purpleloli3.jpg) Although purists probably wouldn't consider it "real" lolita. The dress didn't fit right so I wore the purple "corset" top over it, decided I still didn't quite like the outcome so I'm selling the dress on Ebay this week.

Woah that outfit looks amazing... I think there should be more Purple in the EGL outfits, I never see enough of it! Personally I'm biast since I'm a purple nut & everything I own is purple, I even went to a shop dedicated to purple in NYC, he he!

I'm a purple nut, too. Purple and black, that is. And there should be more purple clothing of any kind, I think. It's hard to find anything purple that looks good over here.

Where you from? I think us Purple lovers have this problem all over the world, I'd decorate my flat entirely in purple if I could!

I'm from Norway. So you probly have a point in saying that it's an international problem. I'd decorate my room in all purple, but I can't move the furniture, because my room is so small, so it has to stay the same old colors. At least it's currently black and red...

Gackt is a Japanese singer who is quite popular even with people not in Japan. He's far too pretty for his own good, but he's very talented and has a gorgeous voice. He used to be the vocalist of the J-rock band Malice Mizer, and he currently has a band called GacktJOB.

I've seen Mana wear purple. XD But then he likes Blues and Purples, doesnt he? here: http://gothiclolita.free.fr/mana83.jpg and here: http://gothiclolita.free.fr/mana42.jpg the second one is more a purplish blue than a purple. but you get the idea.

Now that you mention it, I do remember seing both those pics before. I don't usually go to that site, because I get frustrated with French so easily. Mana looks great in purple, of course, but I think he'd look great in anything.
