All right.. I know this has always been said, but now I'm really going to pull this together.
junnokoneko and I are pulling together a site completly devoted to gothic lolita and every aspect of it. This would include links, a few pictures, definition of certain styles, famous GL models, brands, how-to tutorials, advertisements for seamstresses/tailors..we're up for anything really. But we do need help!

Any ideas we should include? We thought this might also serve as an HP for the LJ EGL community maybe ^^; But any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated!
We would *love* some how-to tutorials! If you have perfected the headress, and could write up a tutorial, then send it in!!
Seamstresses/tailors! This would also be a good place to advertise yourself, even if you don't have a homepage. ^_^
Also ^^; We need links like we need a pretty BSSB dress. We know lots of Lolis and Dandies have pages out there devoted to EGL, or the scans of the bibles. Even if it is just you dressing up in EGL, send it too! We also need commercial links, sites to buy undergarments.. here's a list of what we have so far:

I dunno if you've already seen this idea, but you might even be able to gather up some gothic lolita art. I'd definitely love to search some stuff up, if you'd like me too. ^_^ I already know of some mangas/animes that are heavily into the EGL style of dress. Both of the main female characters in Under The Glass Moon are always in awesome EGL clothes. Same with Chi and Freya in Chobits, and Alichino is a gorgeous manga, lots of EGL, too. ^_^ Even in some of Kaori Yuki's mangas, there's a little bit of EGL art.

Once I get home (I am in the midst of craziness) I will scour the net for links and write up some tutorials! I have a pretty nicely simple circle skirt and asymmetrical skirt...

A note: I think it might be best if certain sites have disclaimers... we ought to be nice about it, but something like "Many members of the EGL community have had problems with this site." ... burruuu, because I know quite a few people (one of them is my roommate) who were ripped off by HowCool.

That's so funny - I've never had a problem with howcool. I thought they were a bit shady (because I never received a "its on its way" email, just a standard "we've received your order and payment" e-mail, but I did receive the boots OK. As for jaded minx I've never personally bought anything from them, so I can't say. I guess I'll need more good/bad stories about various retailers.
I think it's a good idea though, a good/bad section, and also what Japanese brands offer overseas (as opposed to just Metamorphose). I know here, that limebarb is the subject of either horrendous ridicule or fab stories, same with hot topic (even though they do offer tights/shoes) It's one of those love it or hate it deals. I decided not to link HT, but torrid instead as by suggestion ^^ Because torrid does have cute jewelry indeed ^^v
As for tea sets.. how. cute. XD
And what did you mean by suggestion of Gothic and Lolita life? Like as in the Bibles or..? A day in the life of a real EGL as opposed to a model? ^^;
