Aug. 10th, 2003 04:09 amHello everyone ^_^ I went to the mall to-day with my sister
agitatorswaltz and we had a fun time dressing in our new matching outfits. What do you guys think of them?

Here is a full body pose~ I'm in the black, and sis is in the white. We are negative images of each other ne? We based the design off an Angelic Pretty dress we saw, but minus the collar because we ran out of fabric ehehe.. ^^;;; We decided to do the negative-like theme because.. well being identical twins, we've always worn the same clothes until a few years ago. We thought it might be fun to recapture that idea! ^^
The dress itsself wasn't very full, so we took in the sides a bit. But amazingly, these two dresses were both made for just $30 together!! ^_^ I'm a reallly big novice at sewing, so there are *so* many mistakes on the base of my dress, but I can add decorations really well for some odd reason..? ^^;
I know it is probably very unorthadox to have a jrocker plushie, but he's *my* teddy bear gosh darn it! XP
Here is a close up of Codi~
And here is a close up of myself~
A lot of strange stares were veered towards us, but in the end I'm pretty used to it. It's actually the people I'm shopping with who make the big deals about the looks from others! ^^;;
Aa everyone have a delightful day! =^_^=

Date: 2003-08-10 08:38 am (UTC)Actually a few patterns ^^;
One was Simplicity's Minnie Mouse pattern (9387) for the skirt and sleeves. Since it has a crew neck (a circular one), and was rather stupid looking, we used Simplicity 5872, which are "6 blouses made easy", and took the mandarin collar from that, and also the front and back top pieces so it would fit with the collar. The skirt came out a smidge shorter than planned (since it is Minnie Mouse XD;;) but other than that it wasn't hard to sew it at all. We've only been sewing for a few months ^^v

a few replies.. ^^
Date: 2003-08-10 06:39 pm (UTC)Gomen ne girlygoat.. Im not sure what type of material it is o.O; It just felt very soft, like a cotton-poly blend I think. I just pulled it out of the rack without looking.. XD;
Un mb2u, the hair idea would be nice, but my hair is actually a lot longer than my sister's. ^^; (we still confuse our family anyway -_-;;) Makeup... aa we don't really do that. ^^; Anndd.. white shoes. They'd be perfect.. but the white shoes we have uhm cracked XD;; Though I do agree white would be best! ^^v
..one more thing. I also never thought about that egielle. But looking at it you're very right o.O;; That is so clever. o_o

Date: 2003-08-10 11:35 pm (UTC)*giggles* The only suggestions I had were already addressed (you can't control your hairlength; you probably don't DO eyeliner, and didn't have matching white shoes.)
*hearts* You guys must have much fun together...! Any plans on doing a dark angel/light angel cosplay? =^-^=
Also, myu, I've wondered this for a while - who DID make your plushie?

Date: 2003-08-11 12:14 am (UTC)Uhm well~ the idea was tossed around a bit. But we don't have any money for wings anymore! XD;; Darn lack of funding.
aa!! ^_^ The fabulous Setsuna Kou (http://www.fortunecity.com/business/johns/1394/index.html)!! Warning, lots of midis. XD
She is.. an amazing seamstress! ^^ We've bought four plushies from her over the past two or so years, and one Kyo costume. The prices might scare some, but.. the quality is just nothing short of awesome. Her choice of fabrics are always good and the detail is just fabulous. I know she would make a great EGL dress if someone asked. *plugplugplug* She hasn't failed me five times in a row, so I recommend her. ^_^

Date: 2003-08-11 01:41 pm (UTC)Yee! I though that looked like Setsuna's work! I was curious. My friend bought a Rosalia (Angelique) plushie from her, and it's amazing. Not bad at all for $35! Custom plushies! I'm going to get a Miwako from her one day... *nods*
Plushies = bliss.
