Hello boys and girls. I'm working on setting up a meetup for lolitas in Connecticut. My mom is helping me out a bit and she insists that I come up with something that we can all do. It is going to be held at a coffee shop. I'm trying to think of some little activity we can have because I don't think just sitting and talking would be very fun. So, for people who have done/been at egl meetups before, what did you do there? I can't think of anything.

Thank you for your help in advance! <3

Are there any people who sell their originals through Ebay? I'm not old enough to buy yet but I may talk my dad into bidding on some stuff for me. It doesn't matter what style it is, I'm just constantly looking for things that catch my eye.

Or if you have your own website, thats just as nice as well. ^_^

Peace lolis,

Commie

I know a lot of you guys own dollfies! Do any of you have one you'd be willing to part with? I would do some massive damage to my bank account for one... I'm specifically looking for a Cyndy, but if you don't have her, I might still be interested. Just reply and let me know if you are...

Yup... its time to officialy introduce myself. I'm a huge fan of EGL fashion and because of the lack of avalibility here in good ole Jersey, i've made my own modified EGL look... I like to call it Cyber Lolita. I also model and i have a photoshoot on Monday which is actualy going to be a loli shoot, so i'll post some pics for you. The only things i lack is some cute hats and headbands. But i'm sure i'll start to amass them in large quantity eventualy. I do sew once in a while, but i modify clothes constatly. I love to thrift shop and you'de be amazed all the beautiful lace and bulk fabric i get there. Since i'm officialy introducing myself i supose i will post more often. ^_^ And now For your veiwing pleasure )

At what age is one "too old" to dress EGL?

PS: If you think you can never be too old, seriously, you CAN be too old. I just dread being the wrinkly chick trying to dress like a little doll. OK, well, I'm just questioning myself because all the street shots in G&L bibles are of 19-yr old. Waah...

I sincerely hope I'm not bothering anyone with this little post, and feel free to delete it if this has been said before. Anywho...

I was surfing around and found the Gothic & Lolita Bible (3 - 13) on a website that is selling them for $15.01, $20.96 after Shipping and Handling.

Just thought I'd mention it. n__n~

Hey there.

I just bought a pink lolita dress , the problem is I really want a pair of pink shoes to go along with them. Prefably mary janes and platformed if possible since I`m really very short.

I`ve checked online and so far the only pink platformed mary janes I`ve found were from Metamorphose .. but they were a hefty $172.00 bucks excluding shipping charges.

So .. if anyone knows a place that sells pink or even white mary janes , I`d be eternally yours if you`d give me the link to their webbie.

I downloaded the manga Anne Freaks from IRC. The manga doesn't have anything to do with egl, really, but there's a picture of Anne when she was a kid in lolita gear. She's really cute ^^ if you like manga with cold-blooded killers, or pretty, pretty character design, check this manga out. It's cool ^__^

I'm not sure if this has been asked so sorry if it has been.

Ok, I was looking at loli-goth clothes on Rinkya when I tumbled upon this Kimono/yukata hybrid thing. I was wondering, what is it called? I've also seen a few of them in July's issuse of KERA.

Thank you and sorry if I sound dumb ... ^^; You can see more pictures of what I'm talking about here and here.

Hello ^_^
Well I've just got a few pictures to post.
I've been pretty bored recently and I just had surgery, so I can't really do much but sit around my house and yeah...sew =b

Anyways, only one new headdress right now, but it's of a different style than my usual headdresses *if you've seen any of my previous posts*

just a heads up for those of you who have never seen this site:

http://www.pixiefashions.com/cameosticksandstones.htm
http://www.pixiefashions.com/lenorebows.htm

2 examples of her work. I bought 2 sets of clips and they are EXCELLENT. very creepy/sweet.

I also like the Corset Dolly skirt and the Alice in Wonderland skirt (well, i like the design, but i'd like for it to be more of a circle skirt) though i haven't purchased any clothes from her yet ... has anyone here ordered a skirt from her?

petticoats

i am planing on making a petticoat but am not real fond of elastic waist bands. all of my skirts are fitted in the waist and flair at mid hip (that i would wear with petticoat) and i am afraid if i use an elastic waist band that i will have weird bulkiness around my hips and waist. so....

the question. have any of you every seen one with a zipper/fitted waistband? is it fine to make one with a zipper or are there really good reasons for not doing so.
it would be the first time i have made one with a zipper that wasn't part of a dress

If yellow is your color, look at this auction I found on ebay. If only it were in blue! *sigh*
