*blinks* Yeah, I just paid $40 for mine (including shipping)... because I am obsessed (and have a big group of friends who like to read them all)... but fudgecakes, I thought $40 was pretty high.

Over $100 is insane... especially since there are OTHER AUCTIONS at $25 right now! O_o Wtf?

Yes, they are awesome books, but they are NOT worth that much. I suppose the ones bidding that high are the little ones that are following a trend and think that they HAVE to have the EGL Bible just to fit in. It's like.... the little so-called punk girls that think that they MUST own arm-socks to fit in or the little so-called goth girls that think they MUST be depressed in order to fit in.

Me personally? I like EGL clothing. I don't feel that I have to own a certain object in order to fit in or "do it the right way". There are certain unwritten rules that hold the style together, as with any look, but we don't all need to own the book THAT much. I do hope that the people that are bidding THAT high think of it as a fine collection of... art... and not some type of "joining requirement".

One and Two are published by two different publishers I think volume one has had a reprint but vol2 hasn't.

I got my vol.2 at a used book store for Y500. Pure luck, that... (it was cheap because the patterns were missing @_@)

I can't justify spending over $100 on a gothic & lolita bible... not even vol. 2 @_@;;;;
