Hello, everyone. I'm new to the community, so I thought I'd say "hello." I have a quick question that may be kind of silly, but does anyone know where I can get a pair of MaryJanes? I just want solid black ones, but none of the pairs I find seem to be. Thanks a bunch!

i can never find shoes on ebay, since i'm taller than practically everyone & therefore have rather large feet. dahh. i did get some plain black ones from naturalizer.com (i think that's the url) early lastyear, though.. but i don't know if they sell them anymore.

Split heels

Well, I have seen split heel Mary Janes at www.torrid.com
They have two choices, one with a cute little ruffle and one with white hearts on them.
They're both lovely.
I'm waiting for them to be on sale so I can afford them. (The shipping from USA to Sweden is 25$ so the price must be low before I can buy them.)

I get most of my Lolita clothes from thrift stores (mostly to remake into lolita outfits).

I saw two pairs of black Mary Janes at the thrift store I go to. One pair fit me, and I was about to snatch them up when I saw diffrent pair of black (i'm not sure what the shoes are called) they have like two straps and one strap connecting them? lol But they have black flowers embrodiered on them...

Uh yeah what was my point? oh yeah, you might find really cheap mary janes or other lolita shoes at a thrift store....

- if you're in sydney - kmart's having a stocktake sale this week, and these babies are going for a mere AU$20 (or US$13). i bought a pair; they're super comfy, though basic. you could add bows, lace or etc to it with epoxy.

i've seen them at hot topic, but most of those have cutouts or trim (if i recall correctly). gadzooks has plain black platform ones though (like what you usually see in egl pics). and i got flat mary janes at walmart a while ago for like $10.

Haha, I've never even thought to look in Gadzooks! If I get a chance, though, I'll look in Walmart too. Unfortunately, the Walmart nearest here is kinda far. >.< Thanks for your help! :)
